I'd have to give up something I already have. 6ft and above average I intelligence.

What is average intelligence these days? because average is really dumb today.
6'4 way above average intelligence. |
|
Quoted:
Which would you rather have? In this example they are mutually exclusive. The average American male height is 5'9. The average American IQ is 98 (that explains a lot). Your only options.... a) 5'5" tall. You are smarter than 70% of the population b) 6'5" tall. 70% of the population is smarter than you. View Quote What if I'm already taller and smarter than that average. |

I'm 6'5" and work as an Electrical Engineer, I deal with PhD people often enough to know I'm happy where I am.
|
|
No choice necessary, I already got both.
Not by your metrics, but in reality. 6'1" makes me taller than 85% of U.S. men, and the standardized testing I've taken over the years, puts me comfortably above your suggested smarter than 70%. |
|
I'm 6'-5" and I have a master's degree in engineering
so I made this thread divide by zero |
|
I'll stick with what I've got. Not the tallest or the smartest guy around but I'm taller and smarter than most.
|
|
You are willing to settle for only 70th percentile?
That doesn't make you very smart at all. |
|
|
Smarter. Life is harder when you're dumb.
Of course, I've never been tall, so, it might be easier when you're tall too, but I only have one frame of reference. |

I'm 6'3". My brains have never gotten me laid, but reaching items on the top shelf has. I'm 6'5" and the only IQ test I've taken gave a result of 146. But I work with a lot of really sharp people and feel that I'm 'average'. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I'm already 5'4" and have a higher than average intelligence despite what my drunk posts here would indicate

Why are guys so obsessed with their height? I have a friend who is 6'7"he is constantly referencing his height/size, works it in to every conversation. I'm 5'9" and don't ever give my height a second thought. View Quote i think only tall guys post about height in GD. at 5'9" i'm pretty close to king of manlets size. both my brothers were 6'+ as for intelligence, I'm above average but no genius. intelligence is a curse if it is unaccompanied by high EQ and strong work ethic. I'm 6'5", and would rather keep my brain. Being comfortable on airplanes would be nice.
|
|
I'd take either.
Short AND stupid here. And I'm hung like an Irishman. |
|
neither. im short but i like my height and im already smart.
you gotta be confident in who you are. i was never particularly athletic or big but i was always liked and fairly bright. i was consistently top of my classes growing up and same in college. had a professor tell me i wrote professional, publish-grade papers at 19 and another would jokingly refer to me as "mr president." but thats the thing. i didnt do anything with it. im not some scientist or accomplished businessman. i was lazy. still am look at how i type. intelligence is a blessed thing but you have to use it. fortunately my youngest has my brains and he uses it because hes already much more accomplished than i was at his age. so for you guys who are picking intelligence, know that it isnt a default ticket to success. granted height certainly isnt either, and from my experience ive done fine with women without it. |

6'6" here. I'd rather be tall if given the choice. It's painful for me to travel through life while seeing all the idiotic things stupid people do. |

A. Brains get you money. Once you have money nobody gives a shit how tall you are (unless you are a midget). Speaking as some one who is over 6 feet and dumb, I'd rather be smart

Just the top 30% for intelligence? Screw that noise. One might as well be a tall idiot. Society seems to dig those. Just look how people are falling over themselves to attend the Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. services. It looks like a zoo.

Having both, the above average intelligence has been far more useful.

Poll FAIL: no option for "I'm both already."
Six four, Mensa IQ. |

Short & smart.
Besides, during the Napoleonic Wars, the British army learned that given the same ratios, a 5'6" soldier will outmarch a 6' soldier. Taller soldier needs more fuel (food) to sustain himself than the shorter soldier. |
