| So I'm looking for a set of rider to passenger bluetooth intercoms/headsets. What is everyone using? |

I am of no help...if I need to talk I just yell. I have a wired intercom from the factory with headsets on my bike but have never used it because I don't normally wear a helmet unless forced to by riding through none free states. In my case yelling just isn't working anymore, cause my pipes are to loud...... Let the hate begin |

Most of my friends have sena units. I have the SMH10R myself.
We've used the intercom features between their units when riding and it has worked well. We have linked them via the universal intercom feature as well and it has worked ok but the sena units seem to link up pretty quickly. Range seems to be pretty good although if you are on the same bike this would be a non-issue. I have two complaints on the unit I have though and one kinda minor one. I wish it would just say battery life when it started up. It can do this beep pattern which sucks. My standard earpiece(plantronics) I use when I'm in my jeep says remaining talk time at startup. Menu system has way too much shit in it. They kept adding features that really are not needed anymore. It has an address book function built in for instance. Really the thing needs to do only a few things: Link up to other headsets, answer and hang up the phone, and activate the voice controls for the phone(siri, cortana, etc). It is worth saying the app sucked last time I tried to use it to manage the device but it has been a while. I'd much rather have it easy to control and configure that way. The minor one is that the buttons are kinda hard to press on the r version. With gloves on it can be a bit of a hassle to turn on and the center button doesn't really have the feel it should. The full sized versions work a lot better, my helmet(shoei rf 1200) doesn't have a flat bottom and the standard model really doesn't fit right. |

So I just took a quick look at sena's website, tons of models, features and a huge price range 500ish bucks seems like a lot for a duel pack. All I really want is intercom no need for phone interface etc. Any cheaper options?
Edit. I am seeing the smh10 2 pack for around $200.00 that seems a little more reasonable. |

I have had the Sena SMH 10 for two years. Mine stopped transmitting, and I assumed that the mic had failed (thought I smashed it with my fingers when grabbing my full-face helmet by the front to carry it). I notified Sena, and they sent me TWO NEW mics for free in about two days. Come to find out, the problem was a failed contact pin (defect) between the module and the mount. Sena honored the one year warranty, and had a new (refirb) to me in about a week. Good customer service, good product. Buy with confidence. Good luck. Edit:spelling |

I just bought the UCLEAR AMP headset.
I tried one at the bike store a couple weeks ago, it seems to me to be the way to go. No boom mikes required. http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/uclear-amp-bluetooth-communicator-single-pack |

We have Sena SMH10's, they are pretty good. They have some minor irritations, like anything of this complexity, but overall they are very very good. Better than I could have expected.
Most of my complaints have to do with fitting soooo much functionality into 2 buttons. It's a lot to remember, but that's a very minor complaint. They're great. |

Sena SMH10 Love mine Yep, We've had this one for 3 years or more. Has been great. Really, really glad we finally got it. Makes riding with the wife much more fun. Also have a third unit we have used to communicate with our son on his bike. These units have great range and battery life. |

I have 5 Uclear HBC 200s
They blow. Family uses them while dirt riding, main problem is getting to far away(20 feet sometimes), and they dont connect back together. If using all 5, sometimes 3 will work. Scena is next for us!!! Uclear was a $1200 mistake for us :( |

Sena is what you seek, go to their website and pick out the model that fits your needs. That's what my wife and I have been using for 5 years and it works perfectly. P.s. I forgot to mention ours survived an off at 50mph when we hit a deer, they had a little rash on the controls but still work perfect they were still on and connected when we were in the hospital. |
