Just upgraded my middy to a Geissele G2S. Took out a CMC and installed it in a DGW (Detroit Gun Works) lower.

CMC was a really tight fit. For a few minutes I did not think the hammer pin would line up. When I pull the trigger with the safety on, the trigger doesn't have that little bit of return movement. It will stick in the rearward most position it can travel. Switch to fire and it functions fine.

Is this anything to worry about? Don't want to go to the range Sunday and have any issues.

Are you sure you didn't install the spring backwards?

-or-

Bring something to pop the pins out with at the range and fix it there if you fucked it up.

-or-

Don't try to gunsmith on a Friday night, especially when alcohol is involved.

No alcohol yet and it's a drop in.

The CMC is an enbloc design.  There are no springs or pins to screw up.

Sounds like the lower it's being installed in is not in spec.  The trigger pocket may be cut slightly shallow.  My standard fix is to always modify the cheapest part.  In this case, I'd try sanding some of the trigger's "case" down in hopes of getting it to align correctly.

ETA:  If you can align the trigger pin hole, then I'd look at removing material from the trigger tail that slides under the safety OR removing material from the safety cross bar.
