Who do y'all use for professional liability (E&O) insurance as Licensed Professional Engineers?
I'm a PE and have been doing some stamping for my employer, under their liability insurance (I'm covered, double checked that!). I would classify the potential risks as moderate. A mistake I make is not going to present a threat to human lives, but would possibly pose environmental risks (I work in offshore well decommissioning). Well, I recently had an offer from a service company friend to send PE stamp work my way for other companies. However, I would NOT be covered under their professional insurance, definitely wouldn't be covered by my employer's coverage, and would need to procure my own. It's an odd insurance market, and one that I'm having a hard time finding recommendations for. So say ye? |
