Got a half pound yesterday, and really liked the flavor. Anyone else tried it?

What's it made from - i.e. what makes it different from dairy butter?

Oh hell yes!
It's all I use on items.  I will cook with regular butter but on Rolls, muffins, panini--Plugra is all I use.
I also put it on broccoli and asparagus.

I think it's made from slightly fattier cream. Flavor is also affected by what the dairy cows eat. I usually get Challenge brand. Plugra tastes richer.

Of course - but asking here helps the thread along.  Not like I started a thread blind asking about it, just inquired of the OP for more information, as you would in any polite conversation.  So, do you even polite, bro?

Plugra and the like are low moisture, higher fat butter. The average butter sold in a US supermarket is pretty poor quality and is thinned down with excess water, resulting in a weaker, thin taste.

Only downside is that it is much more expensive. You get what you pay for with butter.

Its OK, I prefer Kerrygold, President, Lurpak, Smjor, or pretty much any European butter. Trader Joe's has some french stuff now thats pretty good.
