Who was more important to Seinfeld between the two?
For the longest time I thought it was Kramer. As I have gotten older, I am starting to think it was George. Your thoughts? |

George made that show.
Little Jerry appealed to my misogynist instincts. I thought you were going out with Celia. I did. I'm back. I love this relationship, I feel so liberated! Having her in jail. The only thing that bothers me is that I'm just coming up with this now. |
Has to be George. His character was a slight exaggeration of Larry David. The show was based around Jerry and Larry's everyday life before hitting the big time with their own TV series.
Curb your enthusiasm is more Larry David in real life, but you can still see a lot of "Costanza" in Larry David's curb character. BTW one Jerry's friends had the last name Costanza. He wasn't too happy with his name being used for a putz/idiot character and sued the show.

Either way, George was more important to most plotlines and some of his episodes were the most memorable, but Kramer was hilarious. |

George and Jerry's friendship went back to school days. They were the oldest friends. Then Jerry dated Elaine and was in the group. Then Kramer joined the group due to living across the hallway.
I always thought that in the early episodes, they all kind of looked down on Kramer and his odd ways. He wasn't really "in the group" initially. |

George, hands down. Kramer and Elaine were outstanding, though. George's parent were the best. Jerry seinfeld really wasn't / isn't funny. He's pretty lame. But it was his friends and the crazy secondary characters that made the show. Like Crazy Joe Divola. |

I thought he was hilarious. |

I don't know if Kenny Kramer sued Seinfeld but he was Larry David's apartment neighbor and used to pop in all of the time just like the show. I think that the real Kramer runs a "Seinfeld" reality tour in New York. |

everybody loves Kramer becasue he's wacky and obnoxious, but George was always my favorite part of the show... he's so neurotic and oddball... but also a devious bastard... his character and antics made the show
the cast as an ensemble was one of the best ever for sure |
