well, there was that unofficial Alpha some months back... After all the fixes, A Athlonxp1800+ w/768mb DDR2700 and a GF4 TI4400 was running it at an easy 25-30fps while engaged.

damn
the last computer game i played was quake 2 things have apparently come a long way since then anyone think my mobile pentium III 500 Mhz with 8 meg video card will run this game ha ha ha |

that leaked alpha rocked even at my machines whoppingly slow 2 fps.

I don't know, Doom III looks pretty lame to me. Same old crap where dumb zombies come up and hit you a few times while you frantically blast away at them.
The AI and gameplay in HALO2 and Halflife 2 look awesome. I'm personally looking forward to some advancement in the AI area, I'm tired of the same old lame crap like Doom III looks like it's going to be (maybe I'm wrong, hope so). Damn Airwolf your download is long, I will try again when I get home. The internet must be down or jammed I am on T-1 and it is slow as hell.

My computer is so old and slow that I can't even play those movies much less the games!

Doom III and HalfLife2 are forcing me to buy a new PC.
I am waiting til the end of August (the latest I can buy one and still write it off on this year's taxes) to get the "best buy" in a system at that time. I dunno where the negative previews of Doom III are coming from, but the little I've heard make this game sound like it's going to be the SHIT. I hope. Zombies and guns..........does it get any better????????? |
