Yes, good score.

Wonder how good a score you need for the 0% financing for cars?

Not that I'll buy a new car any more in my lifetime.

700 or better I believe is what most car dealerships consider "tier 1" credit.

~660 is around the bare minimum from Toyota and it take a phone call by your dealer to TFS.

700+ is an auto approval, most of the time.

You're the same guy that that answers the "biggest weakness" interview question with "I work too hard and I care too much"

Also my credit score is 1,235 9,001

OP- Fore future reference if you get tired of the humble brag:

In a strange way, it kinda does. I paid a car off early, and lost 20 points.

Because its an installment loan.

You get the bonus points on your score while the loan is still active, when it drops so do the points on your score

What really sucks is paying off a credit card, not using for awhile, and the CC card lowers the credit limit. That will really ding your credit.

X2 if I have no balance on a credit card my score drops from 815-820 to 795-799 every time. Then goes back up when I put a couple hundred on it.

I don't buy your ignorance. Taking into account your join date I'm going to guess you are, a the very least, 24.

I don't see how you could not know that is an exceptional score by now.

That being said, well done.

Your outstanding credit balances declined.  The same thing happens if you pay off and close any credit account.

This credit score mania is a product of our era.  It's probably inconceivable for some today to realize credit scores really only came into vogue in the early 90's.  I find the phenomena strange, and I've worked in the financial and banking sector my entire career.

Several years ago my credit "I love debt" score was well over 800. Then I started paying shit off and closed all of my credit card accounts. My score dropped nearly 100 points, but I have much more money now.
