Not fool proof tho.  I did it, dropped about 30% body weight, still bad apnea.  Cpap it was.  My issue was that i would just stop breathing all together when i wasn't snoring.  lol

This works. I don't snore when I'm on my side. But during allergy season, I feel like I breath better when on my back.

Sleep apnea is a common cause of snoring and you should probably be checked. I did a sleep study that turned up nothing, so they sent me to an ENT who took one look and said my tongue was too big for my mouth. They fitted me with a mouth piece and voila, no snoring.

ENT said I was normal, but I know I have a large soft pallet that causes my OSA.  Getting a sleep study through my fucked up health plan has been prohibitive.  I will make it happen this year if I live long enough.  Shit will get ugly with the administration.  The fucked thing is all of this is within my group I work with.  I can only imagine how they fuck over the general public.

Mouthpieces do the trick - force jaw slightly apart/open airway as long as you're not sinus-congested.

Can you get a Cpap to try out without a doc and sleep study? I'm in to getting better rest.

This is going to sound crazy but that's one of the positives to sleeping with a potential mate prior to marriage.
There are some people who wake easily, and some not so much.  I'm a light sleeper and do numbers for a living.  Sleep is a MUST.
I don't know that I could stay in the same room with a snorer.

You might need to see a doctor (ENT) about this. I know a skinny woman who had that surgery for her throat to fix her snoring issues.  Said it was painful but fixed the problem.

Someone would have to have conjugal visits and then sleep in another room.  It would suck.

I paid out of pocket for my sleep study. It was just over $1,000 for them to tell me nothing.

This has been my experience too. I've already paid for one sleep study on my son. They said, "Meh..." That was the official medical fucking diagnoses to the question.

The cost of the machine and mask is half the price of the sleep study.

There can be many reasons as to why someone snores, and some can be signs of trouble.
You can be a machine without a scrip and give it a whirl.

Yep, could be the warning signs of a long list of something worse.
