LMAO How did I guess this would be Pigeon Forge exit off 40!? I'll be there in about 20min. The only thing dumb about it is the 20mph limit they've still got stamped up a half mile before the on-ramp. I drive through it often, always get confused. First time I tried to get on 40 E after dark I almost had to shoot someone. |

Maximizes traffic flow, minimizes long waits for lights. However, because 'Murricuh!!!, must hate. The crisscrosses are stupid. But required to allow unimpeded entry/exit to the highway without having to turn left in front of oncoming traffic. The best way to do the diverging diamond is to grade separate the traffic lanes....and you'd have exactly 0 lights, but now we're talking lots of $$$. They just put one of these in near me and I love it. It's eased congestion massively. |

On another note, I've been coming down here for almost 25 years. Are they ever going to not have construction heading to Sevierville? If people would stop coming, they'd stop constructing. ![]() Wife wanted to go down to PF and GBurg earlier today. I refused to go past the river. Traffic still a pain at 1pm on a weekday. |

A lot of people look upon the overlook scene in sadness, but I'm all like, "Hey, look on the bright side, man, you've now got SMNP all to yourself! Enjoy it!" |

Most fvcked up thing I've seen in ages. Just opened one here - saw medics working at two different accidents in the same intersection. It's the Dvorak keyboard of traffic routing - might be better, isn't better enough to deal with the hassle. Ours here has completely eliminated traffic exiting the tollway from backing up and creating traffic jams. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp or drive through. |

Winnipeg, MB Osborne Village area. why would someone from Florida post this? |
|
Quoted: That shitty intersection was introduced in Springfield MO and down to Branson MO. May fucks be upon those shitty engineers, nothing like old people and a confusing intersection to speed up the traffic pattern What's so confusing? |

they're building on of those tarded diverging diamonds here, in a really dumb place. I wish they would build more traffic circles those work great.
back in the day when I lived in Phoenix, the WORST intersection in the world was N 35th ave, Indian School, HWY60 and the fucking train. shit was sketchy when there was no traffic. looking on google earth they've fixed it. |

Have you never been to northern Virginia OP? Come by the mixing bowl. Not in 15 years. LOL. I read somewhere that the Pentagon police make HUGE numbers of DWI arrests. Not because the generals are party animals, but rather because drunks get lost easily and the traffic interchange outside the Pentagon is extremely confusing (I can attest to that). Anybody that shows up at the Pentagon gates at 0200 gets a sobriety test. |

They are actually called "the spaghetti bowl" because of the loop around the area. It is a cluster in there. I haven't seen them at the MADD awards in awhile, their old chief died not long ago. |
