Because he doesn't want any questions about the allegations of infidelity, and everyone else is attacking Trump for him so he doesn't need airtime. He also needs to keep up the narrative that he's an ignored upstart, it appeals to his supporter's Christian persecution complex.
He just came out with an ad saying that he supports "fair trade", do you think that he wants to answer any questions about copying Trump's positions wholesale? |

I wasn't trying to win an argument, I just reposted what Cruz supporters have previous said when Trump skipped one single media appearance. If you guys are going to crucify, name call, and use as sorts of ad hominem attacks on a candidate for skipping one media appearance, then what do you call someone who skips half a dozen? There is next to no chance in prevailing as a public figure, it would take years to litigate, and it is a major distraction from the campaign. The statute of limitations extends long after the campaign. There is no rush to file suit. The NE wrote a BS hitpiece where they didn't allege anything, instead they reported on other people alleging Cruz had an affair. By doing so they can claim they didn't libel him, they were just reporting that there were rumors. The NE has libel without risk down to a science. |
