Folks we have a member who has been out of work for some time. His unemployment has run out, and he has a pregnant wife who is unable to work. He is selling all his guns in the EE to pay his mortgage, and I, for one, aim to do something about it. The member is "thedave1164" and his paypal e-mail is: Dave, I hope we can help. Good luck brother, and God bless. |

Quoted: Come on no one in here can offer him a job? Some one on this board has to have a job for him to help him out. It would do better then $20 here and there. But thats still nice. You may want to recognize that sometimes this type of effort is necessary. This is one of those times. Keep your "come on's" to yourself, either pony up -- offer a prayer -- or STFU. Are we clear? Good..... |

Dave, I've got some dough headed your way via snail mail. Only one condition, use it for something special for your family. Maybe out to eat or order a pizza and rent some movies. Anyway, use this as a break from the stress you are now under. Give yourself a break. Hug the kids and kiss the wife because things are fixin to turn for you. I just feel it and I am pretty good on these things. Drop me a line if you want to talk or just shoot the breeze. 505-821-6723 Matt |

I want to thank everyone for their thoughts, prayers, suggestions, and support. You all have been helpful in this dark time in my life. I now have some new great ideas, some have offered to look at my resume, and give me pointers on making it more effective. Others have helped me make contact with recruiters. I can see now that my families lifestyle needs some modification, and that is forthcoming as finances allow we will eliminate debt, and when we can sell our house without a loss, we will. I am seriously looking at self employment, but that has it's drawbacks as well, someone has e-mailed me and asked me to build them a custom computer. Just might be the jumping off point for going back into business. I am not closing off any possibilities, and am continuing to search for a job, Iam now looking out of the box. I would still entertain contract work, anywhere, on a short term basis. For those who have asked, I am in IT, one of the most depressed fields to be in. Once again, thanks to all my brothers here on AR15.com, things are not over, just looking up! Dave, Holly, Arianna, Emily and ?[:)] |

I don't know what your IT expertise is, but here is a position I'm vacating at the Univ. of Wyoming next week. It's a good place to work. The cost of living up here is pretty cheap too. Good benefits as well. http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/HREmployment2/fulltime.htm#t4369 Or perhaps this: http://uwadmnweb.uwyo.edu/HREmployment2/fulltime.htm#is4707 |

Dave, Drop me an email about where you are from and maybe we can talk. I don't have anything in IT but I do have some people that do business in CO depending on where you are located. It is more of a specialized retail position (depends on your interests) but drop me a line if you can. |

Dave, I offered some thoughts on your other thread, which I link here in case you haven't seen them. If you need some "legal muscle" at any time during this process (especially as to getting some breathing room with your home lender) I'll do what I need to do to make sure my firm takes on you and your family on a pro bono basis. I know you only from lurking at the Colorado AR-15 site, and I think I talked to you once at Jensens, but that's enough. Regards, Gonz. Dave, I just posted a hooray about finally getting a job myself after 6 months unemployment, so I know well how you feel. Anyhow, to celebrate my own re employment I'm putting a check in the mail today. Wish it could be more, but things are still pretty tight at my place too. Hang in there. [:D] |

Dave, I can only offer some positive words, as I am a laid of graphic artist/IT person myself. Only moving back in with my parents was an option and I don't yet have a beautiful family to support. Keep on trucking bro, times get tough but people with a foward moving will always come out on top. Good luck |
