Hah. I can smell the stank off that thing from here.

I keep a few clean ones to wear out and about. I threw a bunch of my work ones in the wash a couple of weeks ago.
They were getting putrid.

Mine have almost gotten black from grease and oil. I take them into the shower and scrub them down. I never have luck with putting hats in the wash. Every time I have, it's destroyed the hat.

This one still has blood stains that don't wash out from where a pipe made that hole and the subsequent hole in my forehead.

Didn't notice the syrup was straight Grade A - not enough flavor. Probably fine on plain pancakes or waffles. I prefer Grade A Amber (former Grade B) as it stands up better to my add-ons.

You don't have to soften anything for evilyoda, or pretend to be extra nice and inviting.

He is pagoda level on the "can do no wrong" list. Been around the block more than a few times, has his shit in order. One tough mofo.

He's good peeps. We just need to help him with his taste in knives.

I mean look at that. S30V, two fugly spydercos, two chinas, a fugly ken onion. It's a cry for help.

Although a ribeye would go a long way to dressing any of them up. A tall tumbler of bourbon wouldn't be amiss either.

Speaking of which, Donut, you said the Bulleit rye is a good one. I don't disagree, it's not bad, but there is something a little different about it than my other ryes. A graininess? Different flavor. not as clean and bright as my other ryes. So while not bad, wondering if it is me.

She was trying to throw me off they scent...that sneaky...

Said she got the Weller's on the way down, saw it was limit of 1 per customer, figured it must be good, got the rest on the way back. On the way down she was only one in the store, on the way nack it was packed and people were bitching about the stuff that was gone, must have been some good stuff briefly (I think she mentioned it was just Weller's).

So I ask how she wants payment...and she says merry christmas

I found out my wife gave her Rothy shoes for Christmas

Oh yeah, I bet the Lon has a great one.

"This one time, it was so exciting, I still shiver with excitement when I think about it, he took me out of his (dirty) sock drawer and waved me around in front of this boar head he bought off Wayfair. It was thrilling. Even if only for 30 seconds before going back in the sock drawer."

Yeah, bitchin.

The cheese and accompaniments at this house are the stuff of legends and any knife has not had a complete kniflife until it has sliced through my cheesy sausages.

Shitty knife Sunday?  Funny thing is, it locks up solid, takes an edge, grippy scales. Thanks O'Reilly auto parts. I don't have a pic but compare it to what CZ handed out at a local demo, makes this knife seem like  CRK level quality.

[Last Edit: GingerShanks] [#32]
I’ve cleaned and skinned a couple/few deer, dozens of squirrels, and cut shooting lanes with both of the Lons, but I’ve only had them a couple of years. I clean the blood off with alcohol wipes in the woods and scrub em with dish soap once home. Even in 1095, they still look new. They definitely get used, but only for that purpose. I have a couple of my Father’s that he made with O1 30-40 years ago. Those have cleaned and skinned over 100, also still look pretty new. All of them will go to my kids, hopefully after the Lons see that much use. So yes, both stories/history. However, I do understand your disdain for them given what they charge for the materials used.

My folders cut packaging mostly and pose for pictures next to red meat and my apparently small hands. I’m guilty there.

Speaking of which, inbound.
