[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Raising bees

so my neighbor has a bunch of honey bees up the road.
It got me wondering how much trouble is it to raise bees in a hive. cost, advice, they don't ever sting anyone or bother anything just wondering.
has anyone here ever raised honey bees?

Grandfather had honeybees back in the day. The Bees are the easiest part of making Honey
