[ARCHIVED THREAD] - NCIS flaws (Page 1 of 2)

I'm watching another episode and remembered the episode where Gibbs shot someone from 1000yrds away and managed to sprint to the area he was shooting at in less than ten seconds.
Tonight's episode is called "scope". Another sniping episode. I figured it be fun to point out all the flaws that are in this episode. I'll begin. At the beginning of the episode a sniper shoots a driver and a rear passenger with one shot through the windshield, then magically changes position to engage the other passenger who left the car and hid behind it. Pretty fast guy for looking like he didn't move an inch. How about you guys? |

Quoted: agreed... but I did like it better w/Ziva & Kate Quoted: Quoted: It's a soap opera with guns. I like it and can look past the glaring stuff. They have excellent writers, a great cast dynamic, and that makes up for a lot. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile agreed... but I did like it better w/Ziva & Kate |

My wife watches these shows sometimes. They seem all the same to me. I really can't watch them, as the entire everything in every episode is totally inaccurate. Some of my favorite/least favorite stupidity from all of these shows the beep boop beep sounds from every computer, phone digital gadget every time that they do anything. the hey we need this, so do some magic computer stuff that actually makes no sense in real life, but you can do it because you are the nerdy yet really cool computer person. it must be possible, right? because you are a nerdy but cool computer person, right? can't leave out the endless magazines in every gun. can't leave out the remarkable inaccuracy of bad guys with FA fire. who can forget the "oh we don't use warrants and due process and stuff cause we are awesome and we always get the bad guy, but in the real world said bad guy would have just had all of this evidence tossed out and won his multi million dollar lawsuit against us for violating his rights." each and every main character has a brand new, remarkably clean, waxed, high end trim, really nice vehicle, but sometimes add in the one cool character that drives a 60s/70s muscle car. |

Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile I would have agreed up until about a year ago. It's been getting really long in the tooth lately, and the spin offs are no where even remotely close to the same quality (writing, acting, any of it) as the original. CSI at least managed a couple half-decent spin offs, but I can't stand the NCIS ones. |

Pretty fast guy for looking like he didn't move an inch. How about you guys? There's plenty of anti-gun-biased BS on NCIS, but the positioning in this case wasn't a continuity glitch. First shot was through the windshield, driver (on left side of vehicle), left rear passenger behind driver. Vehicle then veered off the road to its left, ran over a log, and came to a stop turned 90 degrees left from original path of travel. Rear right passenger exited and moved to rear of vehicle, giving clear view from the shooter's vantage point. |

Same here. I watch TV for entertainment. I'm not conducting research. I was and still am pissed they allowed Ziva to go. The new chick (can't think of her name right now) is kinda 'meh'. Quoted:

Stopped watching regularly well before she left, though. Might catch up now that it's on Netflix. Dang 13 seasons, didn't realize it has been that long. |

Wait. TV shows aren't real life? Whoa...

I like NCIS Los Angeles. Mainly because Kensi has nice tits. I watch tv to be entertained. I> gave up on accuracy in movies and tv long ago. Mmmmm.... Daniela Ruah
And before anyone asks, she has a Nevus of Ota in her right eye.

Gibbs should have reached mandatory retirement age by now
Gibbs would be facing hostile work environment complaints for the head smacks Abby would be facing hostile work environment complaints for the hugs Dinozzo would be facing hostile work environment complaints for much of his banter |

Seriously? Damn. Any word on his replacement? Quoted:

Huh. 2 new agents. One a female FBI agent.
They already named her, so this can't happen but it might of been cool if they brought Blackadder back. Or did they ever have her make another appearance besides in the original JAG episodes? I've missed 4 or 5 seasons. |

ETA 90* from the shooters perspective |

Loaded out government-owned vehicles yet their offices have ancient CRT desktop monitors? Can we at least get some consistency? |
