| Looking at getting this chest rig. Not generally a big fan of chest rigs- too hot, but I like the fact that this one has an "open architecture" making it much lighter weight and cooler. I posted this first in the training forum and got no responses. |

I would recommend posting in the Tactical Gear section in the armory forum. I cannot comment about that specific chest rig, but I have worn the SKD PIG chest rig in temperatures as high as 110°F while on the job and it is MUCH more comfortable than a tactical vest or a plate carrier (even a lightweight one with no armor). That being said any chest rig will always be warmer than a duty belt or tactical belt. I generally use the chest rig to supplement the belt and replace it for carrying gear (unless you are looking from a home defense SHTF situation, in which case it can replace the belt, but I'd rather have armor and a PC on at that point). I have used some other blue force gear products in the past and have always found them to be excellent. |

What kind of response are you looking for? I don't see a question.
I like mine. Super comfortable and packs down tiny. I have it set up with some helium whisper GP pouches to wear while hunting so I can access certain things quickly without having to dig into my pack. |
