I was a member of the old board. Guess I started around the middle of 1999. I didn't own an AR15 back then. It was because of all the things I learned here that I decided to get my Bushmaster.

Re-registered on the new board in 9/01

I remember some guy named Augman that used to always sell nice stuff on the old board.

A guy named Zen, too.

Also, there used to be a guy named AntiUSSR that was pretty popular.

Those guys still around?

I know I've been here since Bill Clinton was president. It must have been sometime in 1999, around the time I was shopping around for my first AR. I remember being here when it was more of a portal (if that's the right term) for the now-moribund AR-L list.

Yes, there sure have been a lot of changes. The different characters, such as B-O-G, McUzi, Sarrrahjane, Blonde_Bombshell, Frank_the_Spank, et al, have been memorable, irritating and simultaneously entertaining- and they're all gone. There are some more positive people here, such as Cav-Vet, Raf, PsyOps1, icemanat95, garandman, Hannah Reitsch, and so many others who I have corresponded with off list, and have been informative, interesting, helpful and considerate. Thanks to Ed and Juan and all the mods for making this place a great place to hang out!

(I spend waaaay too much time here, I must admit....)
