Just another step towards a uprising that they want to happen so martial law can be declared.
Or better yet a full on revolution, then they can write a new constitution when it's all said and done. |

The town of Lexington will be discussing Article 34, at their annual town meeting beginning on March 21st. There will be robust discussion before the vote, but ultimately it will come down to how the town meeting members vote.
Lexington officials are quick to mention that the meeting is open to all, resident or not. View Quote ARFCOM fire mission time... in person, and bring friends. |

MA resident checking in, it is well covered by GOAL and hopefully a lot of pro gun citizens from around the state. The people I personally know would never consider turning in our guns. I hope there is a good turnout to fight the wolves at out doorsteps.

"Just as we fired the first shot to start the revolution, this might be the first shot – no pun intended – to start a movement against assault weapons that would capture the state and therefore maybe explode to reach the country.” -Robert Rotberg author and catalyst of Lexington’s gun ban proposal. Yeah, I'm sure you'd fit right in on the line at Lexinhttp://www.ar15.com/forums/manageReply.html?a=quote&b=1&f=5&t=1842783&r=58496919&page=3#gton Green. Jackass. Nice speech. Now against the wall you treasonous fuck. That's exactly what would have happened to him had he been alive back on April 19, 1775. They sent the strongest message possible against tyranny that day. However, in today's world, people cannot even utter the words of what those Patriots did. Specifically in reference to fighting tyranny in our own day. Even on a pro-gun website like this, there would be repercussions. Now, before you sharpen your spears, I'm not suggesting violence in any way. I'm simply pointing out that in today's world, just the discussion of such an alternative, even in the gravest of circumstances, is impossible. Personally, I'd try everything in my power to move my family to a free state. It's a much better alternative, anyway. |

The Overton window has certainly moved quite a bit.
I think this serves as a fine tutorial for all those deluded souls who believe civilized Americans in the peak of their empire are determined to organize, battle, and die for ephemeral rights to generic off-the-shelf (albeit outdated) machinery. How many gun owners will start assassinating politicians? How many police will refuse to enforce the law? How many police will exercise a wide latitude of discretion? I'm guessing that not even a single person will. Democracy is cool like that. |

Militias got the revolution started, but it was won by military support from the regime's geopolitical enemy View Quote Same is true of the Glorious Revolution (William of Orange invaded in their support), but it would have never gotten that far without the presence of militia systems that, while having degraded over the previous few decades in the case of the American Revolution, still possessed enough capability to provide an initial basis for armed resistance, allowing time for the raising of a proper ally and the solicitation of aid from other powers. |

When I lived outside of Boston, I had a bunch of guns and ammo I bought in VT and Maine (KTP for the win!) that I never registered. I was, at the time, far from the only person who had similar habits. Perhaps it's changed in the (admittedly, many) years since... but when registration was required, quite a few people simply ignored the state laws, myself included. |

Will the surrounding countries, towns, etc., send men to Lexington to assist the people in that town if things get bad?
Probably not. It's not 1776 and most of us not like those folks. We've had it too easy for too long, depending on others to look out for us. |
