Took my wife to the ER this evening and they are keeping her overnight. She had an MRI with contrast this morning for an unrelated issue and on her way home started feeling incredibly nauseous and had abdominal pain. She took a nap and was shaking horribly when she woke up. She was white as a ghost and her lips were blue. They did a CT and the ER doc thought it might be an appendicitis based of that but her WBC was normal. Surgeon seems to think it might be something else, possibly gall bladder causing the issue.
She may or may not be having surgery tomorrow. I am sitting here at home with the kids asleep upstairs and can't sleep. Update: They looked at the CT again and noticed the IUD (Mirena) had migrated and possibly imbeded in the uterine wall. Took two tries but they were able to remove it. She is sore but feeling much better. Starting to wonder if her chronic headache was caused by this as well. We are currently waiting on the doctor to see if we can go home. Thank you everyone |
