From what? A "career" of mediocrity & drama? http://newyork.cbslocal.com/2016/01/27/michael-sam-nfl-comeback/ Maybe he shouldn't have tried to get publicity by announcing he likes cock. Seems like most of his issues stem from the hype. Let that be a lesson to others. Be you. But if you make one aspect of yourself your whole identity... it will be your only identity. |

He's going to come back to a career that never was going to get off the ground because he lacks the talent and physical ability to compete adequately? Couldn't make it in the CFL, so he's going to go get heartbroken again in the NFL. There's no shame in not making it there. Most who try don't, and most of those that don't make it are more physically gifted than he is. He should go on with his life and do something in line with his talents and abilities. Clearly, pro football isn't in his future.
His entire pro football persona is based on hype about his sexual preferences. When it comes down to it, there's only 53 jobs available on those teams for players, and it turns out having performers in those jobs is more important than making a big, gay splash. |

So what's the story here?
Is the NFL so fucking desperate for a gay player that they're putting pressure for someone to hire this loser, even if they bench him, to prove a point? There are dozens of college players better than he is who could use the spot better and wouldn't carry a circus sideshow with them. |

He was screwed either way. If it comes out, you have a media circus, if he comes out its a media circus. At least this will hopefully make the next instance of an openly gay player a non story. I'd bet a paycheck that not only are there gay players in the NFL, they are out to their teammates and coaches. The difference is that they are pro football players who happen to like dick, not gay men trying to leverage their sexuality to get a job for which they aren't qualified. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I want to say there was a gay MN Viking lineman about 15 years ago or so. I think he came out after he retired. I remember they had him on a local morning show singing "O Holy Night" Eta: google says Esera Tuaolo Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |
