I was driving on Rainier Avenue near Genesee Street (Seattle) a few nights ago and saw my first Trump bumper sticker.  Now this part of town is I suppose what would be called the minority district but it's sort of complicated since I'm not sure anymore exactly which minority and also it's gentrifying.  You go up the ridge to the west and it's Asian, earlier immigrants.  In the valley more SE Asian.  Lots of recent African immigrants.  No shortage of Mexicans, etc.  Over the ridge to the east since it has a view of the lake is quite wealthy and there's quite the Jewish community to the south.  Columbia City you'd almost be hard pressed to find anything other than white people dining in a newly hip area.  I went to Super Six, a Hawaiian influenced restaurant.  I won't be going back.  For example, think of something served like Poutine but it was more like thousand island dressing with chunks of pork instead of curds and gravy on top of the fries.  Kimchee sauce on fried tofu wasn't bad.  The usual raw Ahi salad thing.  The drinks were good.  Overall just not that great.

I look to see who's driving and darned if it isn't a black guy.  I was pretty surprised, again, since it was the first time I'd ever seen a Trump sticker.

Would have been a better dinner choice but yeah at some point around there it was an Italian neighborhood.
