Amazon?
Search for "72 Inch 183 cm Heavy Duty Kevlar Reinforced Boot Laces". Sport28 is currently selling 2 packs of those for $12.49. That's what I used to replace the laces on my motorcycle boots since I like to pull them very snug- I like 'em. Plus you then have a backup pair. The Orthostep Workboot Laces are good, too. I use those on my other boots. |

I go through boot laces pretty quick. Once the brass grommets get worn they get sharp and chew the laces up. I just get the cheap laces at the dollar store since they wear out pretty quick. The guy at the shoe repair place told me to fix this, grab a pair of needlenose pliers, leave the jaws closed and ream the grommet with them. It flattens the edges right out. |

The cheap laces and even the regular laces have the diameter of a piece of string and don't look right on boots. The factory laces that come with boots are very thick. Even buying the $7.00 laces from Amazon was a disappointment because they were not as thick the original laces. |

Fixed. Pulling the guts out leaves you without a wonderful source of cordage in an emergency. Quoted:

550 cord with the guts pulled out. Fixed. Pulling the guts out leaves you without a wonderful source of cordage in an emergency. I left the guts in on mine, got some plastic chord lock things and boom so much easier to lace up now. |

Would go through 2-3 sets of laces a year in the work boots, until I found this:https://www.ironlace.com/
Found them on one of the tool trucks; got them with my new Redback's and couldn't be more pleased by them. 1.5yrs later the laces are still like brand new and never come untied, unless you want them to. |
| I 've used paracord for years, since I prefer to lace the boots up, tie a half knot, then wrap the laces around the top once before tying a full know. I use to be able to find 80-inch laces at Military Clothing Sales that let me do that. But I haven't seen them available since shortly before I retired in 1995. Been using paracord ever since. |
