Terror group Islamic State is employing scientists and weapons experts to train jihadists to carry out
sophisticated "spectacular" attacks in Europe, while also modifying weapons systems capable of targeting passenger jets and military aircraft. Stepping up there game? I searched under ISIS and didn't find anything dupe police. |

I have no idea why they'd waste time creating dummies for VBIEDs when they already have no problem finding suitable candidates. ISIS has such a glut of wannabe martyrs for suicide attacks that there is a growing problem where terrorists are getting angry they aren't being selected fast enough, believing favoritism is preventing them from being used as martyrs.
Amir [Leader] Akhmed al-Shishani told me about a young lad who went to Iraq for a suicide mission, and he went there because in Sham [Syria] there is a very long queue of several thousand people. In Iraq, Those Saudis have got things sewn up, they won't let anyone in, they are letting their relatives go to the front of the line using connections.Well, what I say is, things can't be left as they are, we should complain to the caliph. | Makes sense since they say that the most easily radicalized seem to be mostly educated as engineers. Hopefully they'll have a few accidents like the Syrian and Iranians did farting around with biochem. I think that last fuckup killed three or four hundred scientists and support personnel? |

I don't think everyone in ISIS is a true believer, but I think the ones that are are very dangerous. To have cannon fodder of that level of devotion is a huge force multiplier. |

So Sky News can pinpoint the location of this "terror school" yet the governments of countries at risk haven't bombed it? Something doesnt add up ISIS allows in journalists all the time, the same way N. Korea does. They attach handlers to vetted journalists and then show them what they want the journalist to see. They start out small, and when a journalist proves loyal, actually reporting the "right" things, they show them more. Its a win win, ISIS wins a propaganda victory and the reporter gets a new scoop and a byline=money. |

They've always had the class of fanatics willing to kill themselves to reach paradise. Not everyone in ISIS fits the profile, lots of them are quite scared of dying, some don't want to die but aren't scared, and some have a legitimate death wish. At this point the ISIS suicide attack recruiters know exactly who to choose, they've had decades of trial and error to perfect profiling, selection, training, and use. |

ISIS fighters complain of favoritism in picking suicide bombers You can kill a live driver, you cant kill a dummy. The dummy isn't driving. Its just sitting in the seat, to make it look like it has a driver. its heated so thermal scopes on gun mounts on vehicles, or PAS-13 type weapon sights, will detect the heat. Mechanical remotes control the actual VBIED. Surprise is nearly always the means in which VBIED attacks are carried out, those that are thought to be engaged before they reach their target are usually uparmored. In those cases a dummy isn't necessary at all, since they aren't trying to fool anyone. In an unarmored VBIED, If the dummy gets hit chances are the vehicle gets hit too. And the TTP for engaging a VBIED does not entail small arms, they use heavy weapons, so whatever takes out the dummy will likely also disable the vehicle or outright cause it to explode. The only reason to use an automated vehicle is if the humans are not reliable to achieve the goal. And if that's true, that means the martyr suicide program is broken some way. And that is what is telling... |
