Fucking forecasters called for an inch of snow.  I get up this morning to 5 or 6 inches of packed snow.
Wind is whipping. BUT, I made it to work.

I've got a flight out today, I can only imagine the clusterfuck that will be my drive to DIA and the ensuing horseshit, with the airlines waiting until 20 minutes *after* the scheduled departure time to finally announce a 4 hour delay.

Usually we get the opposite in CO:  a forecast for 43 feet of snow, with gusts to 300 MPH, armageddon and the holy fucking end of the world, and wind up with sunshine and a bit of frost.

If it's bad enough that school cancels around here, it's generally bad enough that work either closes or lets us take unscheduled leave, which means I'm staying home anyway.
