I need to ask Santa for ear muffs to wear while mowing.  I hope he'll bring me something with good hearing protection and audio input, preferably blue tooth, that I can actually hear over the noise of the tractor.  Any suggestions for me to pass along?  Thanks!

I had a set of the Howard Leights.   They have a headphone jack so I thought I'd give them a try on the mower.  I found that anytime they cut loud noises (i.e. all the time on a mower) they cut the audio volume as well.  They eventually died and I picked up a set of the Peltor Tac 100s last year when Home Despot had them cheap.  I finally got around to trying them out with music sometime this year and found that they do not compress the audio input as the HLs did.  If they do I can't tell.  They are working for me.  -J

Thanks, I'll check them out.  I also have a set of Howard Leights, also.  I like them for shooting, but music... not so much.  Shooting muffs are really passive protection with mikes and speakers so you can hear people talk.  The hearing protection is the same, whether they're on or off.   I have a noise canceling aviation headset that works quite well.  It's just got too much cord.
