Notwithstanding the fact that 75% of GD is basement dwelling virgins. Has anyone here ever pulled a Lexus commercial for their SO and surprised them on Christmas with a new car with a big red bow on top? |

There was thread here years ago where a guy did that His thread chronicled the massive pain in the ass it was to find a big bow Car dealer could order a "kit" but would not sell him one off a car in the showroom IIRC a lady at the fabric store took pity on him and made one for him Nowadays I see Walmart and Target sell them and it makes me LOL as I think about that thread from years ago |

My buddy used to sell cars at the local Toyota,Lexus,Scion dealership. They kept a few big bows in the store room and charged 59.95 for them.
Said they used one about every three or four months except around Christmas and graduation time and then they might use 1 or 2 a month for a couple months. |

Not for the SO but I have done it for a few customers that have bought vehicles for theirs.
I help them set it up, walk the unsuspecting spouse up to the car/truck in the showroom and they always comment "Oh that's so nice, somebody is getting a great present". I tell them to lift the ribbon from the bow that is laying on the windshield to reveal a small congratulations card with the unsuspecting new owners name on it. It's always fun. |

When we were buying the wife's new car right after Xmas last year I asked about the big red bow. They said they wouldn't let me buy it for any price. Too hard to get replacements. Looks like to me a $500 deposit should ensure it gets returned or a replacement made. |
