Sold mattresses for 4 years, shipped over 12 million dollars in 4 years. With that being said I do like tempur pedics. There foam is higher end then knock offs. In general stores mark up mattresses 400x. 1200 would get you a decent mattress. You really need to lay on them to see if you like them.
I have no way to get a mattress to Ohio or Id use my contacts. Find a salesmen that you can work with then make them drop there prices. Or double up coupons at department store, get the extra 5% off for c/c ect. |

We got a higher end hybrid beauti-rest or however it is spelt.
the foam is pretty good and does a great job of pulling the heat away. The springs are terrible and the mattress sags were we sleep, within the first year and I am pretty light weight. I would not buy another one of those. We got another all foam lower cost mattress for the guest room and its much better. |

Had back pains on a $1600 mattress, much better after this.

I just got a Casper https://casper.com/mattresses after also using Sleep Number for 15 years. Both are excellent and strangely the non-adjustable Casper are equally comfortable. Never had a single problem with Sleep Number.
I would buy the Casper again. |

I just bought one of these from Wal Mart and it's the best mattress I've owned (beats $1,000 mattresses)

| I had a California King Kingsdown mattress set for about 15 years and it was pretty good. Then my wife really wanted e Tempurpedic but I couldn't get past the sinking feeling Nothing felt firm. We got the firmest Serta iComfort I could find and have been on it for 4 or 5 years now and we both love it. |

NO SLEEP NUMBER!!!! If you even consider it, research the black mold issue, and their warranty. That's all I have. In the same boat shopping for something new myself. Been shopping for a year now. Not found anything great. Best mattress I ever owned. Sleep better than I have in 20 years. Had it over a year now. I'll research the mold thing, but I'm sure that's rare. I had a tempur pedic and I couldn't walk, my back bothered me so much. It was an extra firm with cooling layer and 2 inches of soft foam on top. Still have the tempur pedic pillows though. Love them. |
