So I didn't want to pay the premium for LaRue and I know you get what you pay for. But so far not really impressed with this mount. Maybe I got a dud. But the set screw is really really hard to have protrude. Like I push the spring forward to get the nut to come out and it just barely comes out so I can twist it tight. Really had to noodle around with it to get the nut to pop out. Then when closing the quick release it sounds like all the springs inside the damn thing are about to bust out. We'll see.

Who paid $1500?

And if that's the mentality we are going to take then the optic cost more than the whole rifle

I have their T-1 mount, I didnt have any problems fitting it. I do hear the springs skrionk when I put it on. It doesnt have to be crazy tight. If you cant wiggle the optic, it is tight enough. The lever should be fairly easy to work.

I believe there was actually a magazine that compared the best return to zero scope mounts, and ADM did in fact rate higher than Larue.

I picked up a used ADM mount. It's a solid mount, locks up tight and stays in place. It was a good pick up. I'm a La Rue fan too.

I have both and have never had a problem with either.  ADM is for an Aimpoint and the Larue is for an ACOG

The nut needs to be adjusted one time for your rifle. Then you're done. It's not meant to be adjusted constantly. This way actually makes it more difficult to accidentally adjust.

I like my ADM's, they lock up solid and return to zero to a closer margin than I can shoot.

It's really not difficult to use. Take the ACOG off the rifle to adjust the mount and it will be easier. In the unlocked position you can easily push the screw through, then tighten it small increments until it fits with the amount of pressure you want.

This was the problem. The screw wasn't pushing through. I had to maneuver the small piece of picatinny up and down to get the nut to pop out. It didn't just come right out when I compressed the springs in.
