I bought a 15" rail from the EE for an upcoming build. I wanted this particular handguard to match the 7" version on my pistol + the inner diameter seems right for running a piston kit. When I opened the package, it was obvious to me that the keymod slots were backwards (unlike the 7" version which have the slim end of the slot pointing towards the barrel). I sent a message to the seller & despite logging on every day since, he has yet to reply. I also tried contacting the manufacturer to verify if they had a batch of factory seconds or something.

tl;dr: other than aesthetics, should I be concerned that these slots are backwards? It would have been nice if the seller mentioned this in their listing.

It should work but it's sure not right, recoil will be working against you with them backwards.

I can't help but laugh at the thought of making a rail with slots backwards and not noticing! That's just hilarious

Only worry if you plan on mounting anything you want to stay put,

Most accessories will be fine, but anything directional will be backwards.  You can get keymod rails, and use them instead of keymod.

Not to mention it will look like a gang of dicks heading straight to your mouth with you shoulder that thing.

ETA:  so this is my 8000th post.
