I really liked those two. The interaction between Costner and William Hurt was great in Mr. Brooks, and Costner was perfect for that role.

I disagree.  A lot of TWE was meh, but the argument Gary had with the Alien Network Computer thing about the inherent belligerence of mankind was AWESOME.
