I'm no electronics buff but I do get by. With that being said, I have an issue with my tablet and my wifi only.
My tablet will work fine on any wifi I connect to. If I connect it to my actual wifi in my home, within minutes of use it will freeze/crash and restart itself. This is only with my uverse wifi. Anywhere else I use my tablet it is fine. Can someone offer an explanation for this? Wifi works fine with my laptops and smart tv.... At first I just thought it was coincidence but after testing the tablet at others homes and free wifi, I'm sure it has something to do with my wifi. After it restarts if I connect it to the xfinity free wifi I can pick up, there are no issues. Then when I reconnect to my uverse wifi, sure enough it will crash. Tablet: google nexus 7 wifi: att uverse Thanks |

My gen 1 nexus 7 runs fine with my home wifi. I haven't upgraded the op system in a long time so maybe there is some issue there? I would tell the tablet to forget the connection and then refind it and reenter the PW. in my house before I moved it was running fine. then when I moved and got uverse, it started doing this. And I've even used it at others houses with uverse and it runs fine. It is only when connected to my uverse at my house. It's crazy. it's like a car that runs fine everyday with anyone driving it but the second the owner gets behind the wheel, it shuts off. It's so strange. |

Are all of the other devices on your network virus protected and clean? If not, it could be an infected device is scanning across your network looking for hosts to infect which is causing your tablet to restart. well my computers all have some sort of virus protection on them.. my smart tv...probably not. my tablet has some type of android app that supposed to protect from viruses. But my lady's tablet works fine and her's a kindle fire with no virus protection either..... |

| I did what was suggested and cleared my wifi spot on my tablet. Then refound it and entered my password. Everything worked great for a day and a half, then all of the sudden, yesterday evening it started the crash/freeze/restart crap again... then when I changed over to the xfinity wifi I can used, it all worked fine....still all my other devices work fine with my uverse wifi except my tablet. |
