I love just across the border in Ohio. A guy in Pittsburgh is interested in selling me a handgun. Can he meet me in person at a dealer in Ohio, or do I have to have him send it to a dealer in Ohio?





I'm hoping he can meet me. Although I wouldn't be surprised if he can't.

Sales Between Individuals

An individual who does not possess a federal firearms license may not sell a firearm to a resident of another state without first transferring the firearm to a dealer in the purchaser`s state. Firearms received by bequest or intestate succession are exempt from those sections of the law which forbid the transfer, sale, delivery or transportation of firearms into a state other than the transferor`s state of residence.

If hes driving it to your ffl, I don't see why he couldn't. Its not like hes transfering to you directly. Its going to an ffl. I would call your ffl and ask.

In short yes he can drive to your ffl and give it to him and then he transfer it to you.

It has to go through a FFL in your state. He can either ship it directly, have an FFL ship it or meet you at a FFL in your state.

You can meet at an OH FFL and do the transfer.  I have done this before buying from people in PA.
