So, the new update came out. I'm not sure if I like it. I'm not seeing how to see the "Events around me" option. You used to could tap Alerts and see all alerts in the general area. I'm not seeing this in the update. Does anyone know how to see it?
Also, whenever you pin an alert e.g. A police car, you only have the option of placing it on your side or the other side. Seems to me, having the option of placing it in the median would be a good third option. I do a lot of interstate driving and cops will hide in the median. If I pin them, only one side of traffic will be alerted unless they are really watching the app. |

Can't help with item one. I don't have any of my apps set to auto update.
Regards to the median thing, yes, I agree it would be a great option. But when I'm out on the interstates, I do check the app every 5-10 miles. I figure if there are any cop alerts up ahead, on either side, that means that there's one in the vicinity and I slow down and go to condition orange. If you're serious about making good time without getting a ticket, your head's on a swivel anyways, so a brief glance at the screen doesn't take away from your attentiveness. |

The only way I have been able to see events around me is to have a destination and then you hit the top of the screen. You will see a toggle where you can click events around you.
In the old Waze, you could see events around you without picking a destination. I don't think you can do that anymore. I do not like the new version at all. |

Tap your next turn at the top to see your upcoming turns. At the top are two buttons: 'Next turns' and 'Reports ahead'. That's where they hid it. Only when you have an active route. ETA: 1 minute. Beat by slow phone typing. ETA2: Waze forum posts on 4.0 product. http://www.waze.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=162601&sid=7f6198780e5e977a14080dfe65719661 |
