I am debating whether to purchase a Springfield M1a or a Sako brown bear in 338 win mag both are NIB.The reason I am considering the Sako is because it's on clearance for $1440( $2000 regular price) I already own a Sako grey wolf and Winchester M70 feather weight both chambered in 30-06. Most likely I will never hunt dangerous games, but the price got my attention .The M1a is also $1440.Please help me make a decision .Thanks

Is the Sako really a Beretta company item?  And have you considered resell, and do you ever plan to flip it, or is it a keep forever rifle?

It is 2013 model, it's been sitting on the dealer shelf for 2 years. My plan is to keep and enjoy it by casual shooting it .I will not add optics to it since it already has iron sights.I always think about resale value down the road. Not sure which one will be a better investment .

If you buy quality pieces you rarely lose money when you decide to sell .

M1a if it's a need for a battle rifle in your tool box.

Sako if you reload and want to hunt big game.

Either one would be fun shooting.

I have couple AR15. My tacticool days are over. I do not reload and most likely will never safari hunt or go after dangerous game.I fell in love with the Sako and I know that it will be expensive to feed.
