| Based on today's newest release. Yes/No and why? |

Quoted:
Based on today's newest release. Yes/No Depends in what he released. Probably less than Mrs. Clinton did over time. Why isn't she in Russia getting ready for winter with this guy? They could maybe wall paper over together in their cozy little apartment and fill in cracks in the walls with secret documents and such..

Apparently I'm also behind the times. What was released today? |

She's not in Russia, despite her sympathies that way, because after she committed her crime she did not flee. Just like the 4-5 previous NSA whistleblowers who managed to expose many of the same programs Snowden did and who are still roaming free and untethered in the U.S. |

OP's post is 1:17 and some change, and one of the usual anti-Snowden/pro-NSA nuthuggers posts at 1:18+ . WTF? Dmnoid, you running some kind of code that scans GD for Snowden threads? I happened to catch it when I refreshed pg 1. First post was for the laughs. ETA: After a quick glance at Drudge, wtf does that have to do with spying on Americans? |

Just because Snowden thought it through before revealing our government to be corrupt as it is doesn't mean he was wrong or our government isn't corrupt. It must means he knew he was going to be retaliated against and took precautions. |

Just like the 4-5 previous NSA whistleblowers who managed to expose many of the same programs Snowden did and who are still roaming free and untethered in the U.S. I think the main difference with the other whistleblowers was that they were pre-NDAA. Either the original NDAA or follow on amendments to the NDAA allows for indefinite detention of even US citizens. And did any of the other NSA whistleblowers actually leave their workplace with documents or hard drives to prove their point? I have only heard of two other whistleblowers: 1. Binney 2. Russel Tice. So who are the other 2 or 3? |

Just because Snowden thought it through before revealing our government to be corrupt as it is doesn't mean he was wrong or our government isn't corrupt. It must means he knew he was going to be retaliated against and took precautions. Exactly. His precautions were to flee to China and then Russia with 1000+ files of sensitive information. Unlike the poor idiot plebes who stayed in the U.S. and had their careers in that same system destroyed and now have to go about earning their living outside of a prison or the warmth of government employment - as opposed to Snowden who has already accepted a prison sentence if he can be allowed to return to the U.S. |

NSA spying on everyone so the gov says "well if you aren't doing anything wrong, you have nothing to hide." Such "reasoning" is quite popular. " Those who fear the organization fear the implementation of Allah's jurisdiction. If you don't commit sins there is nothing to fear." Abu Khuder battalion commander, Jabhat al Nusra in Syria July, 2012 |

In the case of Thomas Drake they prosecuted him into bankruptcy and then dropped all but a misdemeanor charge. The government is corrupt to the core. Snowden as right to take precautions. |

Still amazes me how he was able to steal so much without being detected, stuff he wasn't even directly working on. No. What has he really accomplished, besides airing our dirty laundry in front of the world and helping those who want to destroy us? How is he a hero? Hero to whom? |

I am pretty sure he gained access through other peoples logins. |

I'll repeat it since it hasn't been answered. What is the relevance of details of our foreign drone operations to spying on Americans?
I'm going to be generous and assume you're just as baffled as dmnoid is about the connection. OP intentionally used a trollish click bait and vague thread title to get clicks and views??? Who is this whistleblower on the drones? And why aren't these hadji terrorists smart enough to use burner phones?

Because Season 3 of The Wire hasn't been released in Goatfuckingland yet |

Who would agree with that? ![]() Anyone who doesn't appreciate a government that commits illegal activity that compromises its citizens' liberty. Those people would appreciate leaking details about US drone operations over foreign soil?

It is what it is. What are the lines the government keeps parroting to me? "If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear." "This will be a transparent administration." 'The TSA is here for your protection." "It's ONLY metadata." "Our system is secure, nobody can possibly steal your identity information." Fucking sucks out loud when that shoe gets put on the other foot doesn't it? |

I am not used to the Drudge Report's format, but following the links gets me to this part: ...The Intercept granted the source’s request for anonymity because the materials are classified and because the U.S. government has engaged in aggressive prosecution of whistleblowers. The stories in this series will refer to the source as “the source.”... Which is from here: https://theintercept.com/drone-papers/the-assassination-complex/ I am not specifically seeing Snowden pointed out as the leak/whistleblower. Slight rant: words mean things: The first drone strike outside of a declared war zone was conducted more than 12 years ago, yet it was not until May 2013 that the White House released a set of standards and procedures for conducting such strikes... I am confused. I thought the last time the US declared a war was WWII. I also didn't know that the US was of the position or in the position to say that some area of land bounded by this, that, and whatever other terrain feature or say 38th parallel is to be a declared war zone. Especially, considering it has been marketed as the global war on terror.

Oh, well. |
