I once bought an NFA item and I don't remember now what it was, but I went through months of paperwork:
It was out of state, transfered to a dealer on that end, then transfered from that dealer to my local dealer, I knew my dealer didn't keep a close eye on things so I always followed everything step by step and kept everybody involved moving in the right direction. The transaction got to the point that the item was shipped from the out of state dealer to my dealer. I had called the out of state dealer and confirmed with him that it had been shipped and what date it was shipped on. I waited, nothing heard. I waited, nothing heard. Finally I go down to my local dealer. He tells me it takes awhile blah blah blah............ I tell him that it was shipped weeks ago and definitely should have been at his shop long ago. He looks around, he checks his safes....nothing. He says it probably just hasn't gotten there yet. I say, no, it should have been here. I don't care if they walked here with it, it should have been here long ago. Finally, he says, I bet I know what happened. He then called a dealer in another state that has the same name as his shop and sure enough, they had it. Just like everybody else involved, they get this package, don't know what it is or who it is for; but they don't call anybody to find out. The package was just sitting there and if I hadn't have been monitoring this whole process, it would still be sitting there. Again, nobody involved except me was checking anything. The shipping dealer shipped it and then just forgot about it. My dealer didn't give a shit and didn't check on anything until I wouldn't go away. And the person who got the package by mistake and didn't know what it was, didn't do anything either. |
| I ordered a part for my router (the woodworking kind), from Amazon Prime. It showed shipped via UPS, and was supposed to be here 2 days ago. Well, it wasn't. Then I get an email saying they can't find my place. I guess they had some kind of stroke or something because they found my place long enough to deliver a LAPG package, but not my router part. I did the ''where's my shit'' thing with prime. Amazon called me, then called UPS and basically said, WTF. I got my stuff today. |
|
Another time, I ordered an M1 from the CMP.
I wasn't home when it arrived at my house, so the guy delivering it left it at some other random house; not next door; I don't know where the other guy lived that he left it with. I assume that he got a package and so since the driver was there, he asked this guy to take my package. I get a phone call from the guy that received the package and he had the balls to make me prove that I was the rightful recipient of the package. I had to show him my ID standing in my own driveway when he showed up with the package. |
