I've seen references link "link left cold" and such . Explain to a puter illiterate  why this is sometimes necessary .

Polls (aka Fire Missions) could discount the results if too high a percentage comes from one site. As far as DU goes, we just don't want any additional attention from them. When NOT to hot link: When putting up a Fire Mission or linking to DU (Democratic Underground, huge socialist site). |
