So in the next week I am going to pick up a stripped lower from the LGS for my 2nd AR. What should I put together? My first is a 16" middy.

Not only a 20" rifle, but precision.
Good barrel, good trigger, good ammunition, some skill & practice and you're sub MOA

Handloading isn't mandatory, but a huge plus

Or another 16", but a more precision build with a good trigger, free float guard & optic.

Whateves.

You gonna be the guy who brings a few cases of ammo with you in the multicam Radio Flyer?  If I'm blasting through mags, I'm gonna be a lot more worried about running out of ammo vs. my groups opening up.

Post your idea then.

He's already got a good all around 16" AR.

Build a fun range toy/if in NFA state SBR host pending paperwork, or classic 20" A2.

I have one of each, and I'm content with my setup of AR's.

Go Retro mod. Xm117 or whatever it is..but with buis...detach handle or different forearm...or flat top with micro.dot...that kinda crap. But only 1-3 different things so its old meets new.

Not an AR Guy..sorry. but a xm clone or such would be cool. But adding modern twist...would be like a 68 stang with a newer coyote motor and fully adjustable race suspension .....
