Saw a quick blurb on Fox last night that Rangers equipped with RSOVs conducted a raid in Irag and took about 50 POWs. Anybody hear anything new on this? |

I have seen some of the video on both Fox and CNN. I heard them say also that the compound was home to a Iraqi SF unit. On paper they were the Rangers opposite number in the Iraqi army. On paper that is, cause the don't seem to have fought like it. It was described as a company sized element, we took about 50 prisoners, and I guess the rest were KIA. No casualties on our side and they torched the place before leaving. Have yet to hear which battalion/company of Rangers did the deed. |
