Ahhh the stupidity of the "Im an alpha male" group. And yup, those are sports fans. eta: "no injuries reported" means the guy that get 4 on 1'd at the start, beat on the ground, stomped, then field goal kicked in the face likely didn't tell the hospital what happened. You can hear that impact on the video. |

LOL No, those are not typical football fans. If you think that you need to get out of the basement and off the internet more often. There are probably 3-4 million(?) or so people who go to all the college and pro games on Saturday and Sundays. Countless other millions to sports bars and such to watch games. How many fights are there in reality?
That behavior is attributed to alcohol not football. |

I went to a Monday Night Football game. Good atmosphere, lots of happy people, overall a good experience. That was, until I left. As I am walking outside of the stadium, all I hear from people is "we dominated them" Or "We won this game" or other shit. These people honestly thought they had an impact on the game and were vital to it.
I watched as home town fans tried to start fights with the away fans. hell, i watched one woman knock another mans hat off and run away. Then two dudes confronted him, telling to him to back down.(the guy simply bent over to pick his hat back up) Completely unprovoked. The guy was just trying to leave. It was all strange to me. I was a fan for the home team..but...damn..it's just a game..that I had no impact on. |

Depending on the team, the fans at the stadium do sometimes have an impact, namely with the noise and making it difficult for the opposing team's offense to hear the calls by the quarterback. |

It's probably more alcohol related, than sports related. Also, they don't look like accountants or IT guys keeping up on their fantasy leagues... Just sayin'. The sports aspect does have an influence, but alcohol pushes it up a notch. People get all fired up just from the experience of watching the game. That's kind of the whole point. Entertainment. Some people, however, get emotionally invested in their chosen tribe. How many normally sane people do you know that have their homes festooned with sports related bullshit, whether it's NFL or NCAA? Or yelling at their TV while stone cold sober? Now toss some booze into the mix, and wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! |
