I can't say enough about www.agonist.org. Everyone should check it out. Look at the Situation Map- very nice piece and updated 4 times a day usually. http://agonist.org/annex/sitmap I don't even bother with CNN, MSNBC or Fox anymore. |

Quoted: Quoted: My vote goes to www.reuters.com though. Check their "Raw Video" footage. Am I correct in remebering Reuters is owned by middle-eastern interests? To be quite honest: beats the shit outta me. All I know is that Reuters was founded by a Jew named Reuter; so I guess you could, in some vague and shady way, claim that Reuters is in fact owned by middle-eastern interests. But that shouldn't really surprise you, now should it? |

The Reuters site is the absolute best news/information site I've yet found. Thanks for the lead. IIRC, the Reuters/Middle-east ownership connection was mentioned a couple of times a month or so ago. I have no direct knowledge of the connection but if true would be interesting given the quality of their site. I'll see what I can find. |

I personally think Flit's maps are, although a little less detailed, much more readable. but I'll still bookmark agonist's.
