Just for grins I have been looking at some of the e-mail data. Here's the .mil breakdown:
Distinct e-mail addresses ending in us.army.mil: 6108 Distinct e-mail addresses ending in us.navy.mil: 5 Distinct e-mail addresses ending in usmc.mil: 998 Distinct e-mail addresses ending in us.af.mil: 58 Distinct e-mail addresses ending in us.uscg.mil: 66 Go Army!!! (I have no clue whether any of the addresses are valid) The queries take a long time so don't expect quick responses but if you have any good ideas, let me know, and if you have been looking at the data and have found some interesting results that do *NOT* target individuals, post 'em. Naturally I'll be running queries to see if any of the usual anti-2A orgs are in there. BTW, don't ask me to query any individual's data or data for any small organization. No doubt some members of the ashleymadison.com site deserve whatever they get but it is highly unlikely that they deserve to be jerked around by me. And please don't make the mistake of considering the presence of an individual's e-mail address on that site to be proof of anything--it's not. |

Given the size of the Coast Guard, their numbers are quite impressive. The Navy is not living up to their reputation. No kidding. I'm shocked at how low their numbers are. It doesn't matter, it was just a bunch of dudes talking to dudes who worked for AM. |

I played with the dataset some, then deleted it. (Really busy.) Then I realized there was something that I *was* curious about: The membership isn't just heterosexual, but homosexual also. So I thought when I got the time I'd do a year-by-year analysis (join date) comparing numbers and percentages of membertype to see if/when the homosexual community found the site and started using it. And then run another comparison against realistic gender-preference numbers from the general population nationally to see which community was showing a greater proclivity to cheat. Just idle number sifting to satisfy curiosity.. There it is. If you want it, go. |

Can you run my name..i forgot my login info I will not run queries on any individuals but there is a site out there somewhere (IIRC ashleymadison.com put it out there) where you can enter an e-mail address and check to see if it was among the compromised addresses. There is a statement that it will send an e-mail to the address you enter, though, so don't expect to check up on someone without them finding out. |

I guess I could move it over to Postgres as well, but I'm in love with SQL Server Management Studio. |

| My wife looked at the list-- guess what???-- ole Leswill was not on there. Although, her son and ex-DIL , and G/S were...I feel left out..... However--- I did look at that site after seeing it mentioned somewhere, probably here. When I discovered it was an adultery site-- that was it for me. I was a widow at the time and did not need that,, too many singles ready and waiting. |

Navy guys have it easy because it's not gay when you're underway. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile All male crews were a thing that went away long ago. I never was on a ship that didn't have them. You'd be surprised how slutty even some of the married ones got on cruise. |

| Pretty good scam that site had going considering the women on it were fake |

So I did a query for Ashley Madison e-mail addresses ending with ".gov". Before presenting the number of distinct e-mail addresses, I'm going to make a liar out of myself and show one of the e-mail addresses--but for a good reason.
If you are of the mindset that anyone whose e-mail address is among those revealed by the ashleymadison.com hack, consider the following e-mail address from the hacked data: "[email protected]" To whoever put that on the ashleymadison.com website: Thankyou. Not only did you make me laugh but you gave solid evidence that the e-mail addresses on the list are not evidence of anything. A lot of people are going to get hurt by the hack, and some of them are going to be innocent, yet some within the media and on the 'net are presuming guilt. It sucks. .gov: 1919 distinct e-mail addresses Honorable mention goes to whoever put an address with sandyhook.gov in there. |

I banged 2 chicks I met on there. There's some real ones, but they are wayyyy outnumbered by fake profiles. |

mda.milatf.gov usdoj.gov fbi.gov
usdoj is an excellent suggestion, but it's entirely possible that any e-mail addresses from them are associated with a legitimate investigation. Same for the fbi. Wanna clue me in about what organization mda.mil.atf.gov is? ETA1: 10 distinct e-mail addresses from usdoj.gov ETA2: 7 distinct e-mail addresses from fbi.gov, BUT some funny ones, including: * [email protected] (Fox Mulder was the main character on the TV show, "The X Files") * [email protected] There are others that look to be fakes but I'm not going to list them just in case they are real |
