| Just saw this kit http://www.slickguns.com/product/complete-ar15-rifle-anderson-lower-337 Everything but a rear sight for $337.42? Wow. I know PTAC is not the best but still, it'll shoot. |

Cheap price for cheap parts. But I try to buy a little better quality than Ptac. And I tend to agree with that mindset. Understand that I am new to AR's and have contemplated all sorts from full price Colts to low cost Del-Tons and S& W Sport. What I finally did was purchase a complete Spikes lower and just yesterday a back in stock PSA mid length with a melonite barrel for an absolute total cost of $594.49 out the door.. That's not sub $400 and I'm by no means trying to gloat but sometimes there is a reason it's $400 vs $600. Still though for under $400 it is still an absolutely smoking deal. Some people just don't make enough to go above that at this moment. |

I don't know if anything will beat those $250 DPMS rifles in the Walmart closeout thread... You're better off buying a lottery ticket than spending the gas money to check at the Walmarts around here. Too many rednecks. Those suckers got scooped up and posted on the FB gun groups.

Shit guy if I could find a complete DPMS at $250 like the other poster noted I would buy two just for fucks sake. |

i recently built this for under $450. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y46/devilman13xx/arfcom/20150520_190227.jpg if i left off the magpul stuff it would have came in right at 400 More details? |

Are slick sides in style now? I'm seeing them more and more often. |
| I've acquired such a collection of spares and cast offs over the years that I could probably assemble 3 or 4 ARs anytime I want to, for "free." They'd probably be complete with decent optics and accessories like that brand spanking new Pentagonlight Light/ laser combo I bought years ago that's still in the box. OH! and Grip-pods! Everyone would have some sort of rail system and muzzle device that used to be cool. |

The member who got a $250 Bushmaster from Walmart the other day has that beat. And while not as cheap, another got two Magpul Edition Colt 6920s for $500. IMO a much better value. |

$466 total. I used Daytona's 7.5" pistol build kit and added a Kak flash can and Ergo dickmod covers. Have you assembled it yet? |

Tempted to build a couple just as panic fodder for the next election. Or to use as beater guns when teaching people to shoot. Or both. How the hell else are they going to learn, if not through physical pain and fear?

There are some great AR deals out there. It is purely due to the mass production of parts pushing the price down.
There is way less actual work in something like semi-auto 22, but they are selling for only $100-150 less than a budget AR, that has far more complex parts in it. The AR is still an $800 rifle, but now available for way less due to mass production... stock up!! |
