| I've heard similar reports, Op. I have friends in Russia that tell of families being forced from their homes with nothing but the clothes they were wearing. It's a pretty bad situation over there, especially in eastern Ukraine. Btw, it's "Ukraine," not "the Ukraine.". Ukrainians are pretty sensitive to that. "The Ukraine" sounds like the Ukrainian province/territory of Russia/USSR. Ukraine is its own sovereign nation. |

Obama helped make sure they would have nothing to fight with, Apparently they sold a lot of leftover stuff as well and destroyed even more.

It would have been perfect, Russia denied those were Russian invaders, so Ukraine could have called them Ukrainian terrorists. They needed to fight like hell so Russia might see Eastern Ukraine as too costly and not worth the squeeze to invade. In accordance 0bama's advice (demands), the Russians saw Ukraine just roll over and figured they won't put up much of a fight for Eastern Ukraine. Now they're in quite the shit sandwich. |

Russia is backing the "separatists", so if it were shot down by the "separatists", it would still be Russia's fault. Ukraine clearly didn't do it, since the "separatists" don't have any planes in the air over Ukraine, so Ukraine wasn't out trying to shoot down its own fucking plane. Meanwhile, the "separatists" were shooting down shit tons of Ukrainian aircraft in the area. It was dumb for the commercial jet to take the route over Eastern Ukraine, but much of the world was still sending flights on that route prior to the shoot down. |

We can sit here and argue about who's responsible for what, but there's still real, actual combat happening daily in Ukraine, and Russia is actively part of it. Just because they quit showing it on the news doesn't mean it's not happening.

I lived over there until recently but am American born and raised. I have friends fighting over there right now. The situation is not good but the Ukrainian military/MVD have more or less held there own even though the west (except Canada) has pretty much screwed them over. The lack of modern antitank weapons, high tech comms, and some types of ammo is a big problem. A couple servicemen die on average each day. Russia has destabilized the currency and stolen the economic generator of the country. Russians are there in some number and the whole thing is more or less a Russian Black Op. My friend was a recon airborne company commander at Illoviask. The Russian brought out some seriously heavy shit including tech never seen before in modern warfare. We knew about the pending Russian spearhead and with held the info from the Ukrainians. They lost 300 KIA in less than 12 hours. Thermobaric cluster guided missiles, arty, t90's, electronic jammers, lasers, you name it. Ukraine had about 6,000 combat effective troops when Russia invaded Crimea. No central command or batteries for vehicles (by design). They had nothing to stop the Russians with. This was a long planned operation which began at least 6 years ago. The Russians were just waiting for the right time to strike. Maidan and Obama just kicked there plans into overdrive. If not stopped in Ukraine, they will move east. No question about it. Any questions about Ukraine feel free to ask. |
