are these any good or just a good way to scratch your paint up? I like to keep my vehicles spotless as much as possible and I think that washing too much causes rust issues down the road. So I've been using air to blow off whatever dust I can get then spraying down with detailer spray and wiping dry with a micro fiber towel. This method works but the detailer spray isn't the cheapest. I was reading about the California dusters and they seem like the trick if they aren't a gimmick.

They work really well. When new they can leave a waxy residue on glass but it subsides quickly. Ive had 3 I got as gifts and they last a really long time. I still use the 1st one I got years ago

I was huge skeptic too, but I've been using one for months now and I love it.

between washings, the main issue here is dust that settles on the car seemingly within an hour. It takes me about 60 seconds to run the Duster over my car and it gleams like new again. And scratches don't seem to be an issue.

Get one.

I can't imagine how anyone could be inept enough to scratch their paint with a California Duster.

The shittier they look, the better they work.

I use mine on one of these.

When I drove limos I would use one.
It helps buy more time between washes by not allowing the dirt to build up.

no I only drive an F250 XL. I needed an avatar and couldnt' figure out how to downsize one of my photos.I found the raptor picture and just decided to use it.

Thanks for the replies. Looks like I'll buy one and give it a try. I've been using Wizards Mist & Shine and at $12/bottle it gets pretty expensive to keep the dust off. I have to drive down a few miles of gravel to get to the place I shoot at and usually have a light coating of dust on the truck afterwards.
