why does the news report that the bombers are taking off from england?to me that would give the iraqi's time to dig in a little bit more and to make sure that they are in shelter and not outside walking around. to me this is info that needs to be not discussed on the news! |

They can't hide. There is NO amount of digging that the Iraqis can do between aircraft launch and bombs away that could save them. The Buffs carry many types of bombs, the latest being the JDAMs. A 2000 pound semi-armor piercing JDAM will go though many feet of rebar concrete before detonating. That was the weapon that we dropped on Saddam on the first night of the campaign. I'll just bet the JDAMs pierced his deep bunker and killed him. |
