The Confederate Flag was added to the list of Racially Incentive or Offensive tattoos, after a problem that apparently came to light when an Incident involving some soldiers in the 82nd Airborne, where a number of soldiers were involved with a Neo-Nazi group. The soldiers, approx. five, If I remember correctly were involved in some kind of assault on a minority recruit. The soldiers were found to have SS and Nazi symbols and other tattoos depicting Nazi soldiers in battle. The US military after booting those troops, later added the tattoo issue as a means to disqualify persons for enlistment to active military service this includes tattoos that "Might" considered racist or Racially insensitive. |
