.......Is an embarrassment. A non stop parade of Top Gear, ST TNG, and crummy scifi/fantasy oriented stinkers from across the pond.

How about some of the excellent documentaries, period dramas, or comedies?

I blame PBS partially. They produce very little so buying shit from BBC Worldwide is the only way to get people to watch PBS outside a few shows.

I don't know... I'm watching this Terminator movie on there. Seems to be a good period piece so far.

The 80's was a period, right?

But you can watch Terminator on a dozen other channels especially some where it's not going to be chopped up for sensitive types. All I'm saying is that when the channel originally launched , I had high hopes.

"The Edge" was on earlier, Top Gear, Predator, Black hawk Down, the Planet Earth Series, Star Trek. What else do you want?

Great movie, but I'm not sure about the sound track. It's so horrible it's good. Or maybe they were trying to make it good, but sucked. Or tried to make it suck, but then it was just too horrible. Whatever.

Mainly more of their domestically produced documentaries and shows that showcase British life. Great British Railway Journeys with Michael Portillo is an example.

I can watch all the Star Trek I want on Netflix. Movies? Unedited movies HBO, Showtime and Encore take care of that. I do like the nature shows but Discovery always picks them up for American distribution. The channel just bothers me as someone who pays good money for a VPN so that I can use iPlayer. They could do better. It's almost as they're thumbing their noses at us for being stupid Americans.

Not sure about you, but I still have to scroll through TLC, MSNBC, etc., etc., etc.  At least BBC gives me a good shot at staying on the program.

Didn't know they made a movie/show of that.  My wife read it and loved it.  I tried to like it, but I just dropped it about  halfway through.  I just didn't like the writing style or something.  I was curious to see where the story was going, but reading it felt like work.

And then she used some sort of device to leave a message for her unborn child.

Fukkin' freaky, they will never be able to do that!
