Already did, Im having my first car "restored" put power steering, disk brakes, aluminum tub and a 350 in it. Cant wait to have it back I tore it down close to 10 years ago and finally got around to getting it going again. What's the budget for this project? |

My choice would depend on what I'm doing.
Rock crawling and trail driving? CJ. General cruising and outdoors activities that aren't centered on conquering obstacles? I'll have a hard time choosing between the Bronco and the Blazer, but I'd probably choose the Bronco. Traveling around some austere environment trying to survive and GTFO? Land Cruiser Commuting with fuel I pay for with my own money? Prius and a bag of rattlecans. |
| Dont even know, I dont want to add it up but I think its @ about 10K for just all the work and parts. I still need to get it painted I think its going to be the OD green that the firewall/dash is painted unless I change my mind. This is a total money pit that I took to college in Corpus and rusted out, I used to go mudding all the time and filling it with a foot water above the floor (fresh water in central tx) bassically doing all the stupid shit a high schooler does. I just couldn't bring myself to ever sell it, so its been a real slow process but there is a new frame and rear aluminum tub now and zero rust. The guy doing all the work on it used to be the head mechanic at a Land Cruiser shop I worked at for a summer. He does some amazing work, I should have kept it stock but I wanted a "modernized" one that was more road worthy. My dad has a FJ-60 thats bone stock except for 2 1/2 old man emu lift and headers thats kept at our vacation house so I drive it pretty regularly |
