| How do you fell about Israel? |
|
They take care of themselves first. If your interest lies with them OK cool. Needed counter balance in that part of the world.
+1 They took a shitty piece of desert and turned it into fertile lands. That being said, they spy on us too and don't forget the USS Liberty. |

Quoted: Israel is a foreign nation with its own interests. They are not our ally. I don't understand why my fellow Christians side with them. The old covenant is dead. We are children of the new. If you believe the Biblical prophecies about the Second Coming, then it is a good idea to not be Israel's enemy at the Great and Terrible Day. |
|
“Now I’m going to tell you something very severe. En brera. No alternative. The battle tomorrow will be life and death. Each man will assault to the end, taking no account of casualties. There will be no retreat. No halt, no hesitation. Only forward assault.”
Gen. Israel Tal on June 4, 1967 I have a few issues with Israel, but on the whole, I support them. And, with men like that, you don't want to piss them off. |

They in fact are our ally more than any one else over there! And I'm not going to mix or intermingle my faith with common sense for the good of our two nations! |

In their part of the world that "foreign nation with its own interests" are more aligned with our interests than any other country over there (asshole Obama not withstanding)! They in fact are our ally more than any one else over there! And I'm not going to mix or intermingle my faith with common sense for the good of our two nations! Quoted:

If that is why you are for them I respect your opinion. However, I feel a lot of Christians support them just because some pastor who probably receives money from Israel told them to. |

Quoted: that said, America First! America First indeed, which is benefited by good allies. And of good allies, Israel's probably the best, inasmuch as they don't take the money we give them and screw us in the rear with it. Baltic states are good people as well, there are a few others, but otherwise most of Europe, the middle east, Asia, we give them money too but you wouldn't know it with the net effect of all their actions on our stability. |

Israel is now the Christian church, not some borders on a map. "5 So again I ask, does God give you his Spirit and work miracles among you by the works of the law, or by your believing what you heard? 6 So also Abraham “believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” 7 Understand, then, that those who have faith are children of Abraham. 8 Scripture foresaw that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, and announced the gospel in advance to Abraham: “All nations will be blessed through you.” 9 So those who rely on faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith." They are a small democracy in the Middle East.
They have probably the highest per capita income in the region (in other words they can spend their own money on defense). In some ways they are a socialist crap hole - like for an Israeli to buy a car involves about an 85% tax. Our national security interest is to have stability in the Middle East, minimize the possibility of oil price shocks, and ensure freedom of navigation through important regional waterways. The security interests of Israel are not the same as the interests of the United States, although they are related. We should seek to ensure Israel's security just as we should seek to ensure the security of the other Middle Eastern countries, so that the region is stable as a whole. We should care about Israel's security but not to the exclusion of our broader security interests. In short, we don't need to jump every time Netanyahu complains about something. |

Quoted:
I feel bad/sorry for them. Everyone around them hates them. And now our current administration..... FBHO Is that why this Administration gave them billions in aid and military assistance? There is always so much emotional rhetoric around any issue that involves Israel. It is exhausting. |

We should not form national security policy based on some bible verses. |

Israel is one of the stable democratic functioning nations over there and we need to keep it that way! |

Galatians 3:5-9 You read/derive more into those verses than what is plainly stated. BTW, When the three men {I believe Enoch, Elijah, and X) are murdered and rise again on the third day in Jerusalem... IT AIN'T gunna be in: Jerusalem, Arkansas Jerusalem, New York Jerusalem, Ohio Jerusalem, Virginia You mix flesh, spirit and dirt at your own convenience. |
